My passion for entrepreneurship drove me to search for opportunities to learn how to help people by taking direct action myself. In July 2025, I participated in the Columbia University Pre-College program. Through this course I had the distinct opportunity to study business with instructor Sarah Beston, founder and CEO of a meditation and yoga practice based in LA. We studied all parts of the new venture creation process– from identifying core problems, empathising with your customer base, to carrying out a successful launch.

Post-Disaster Reconstruction and Urban Development in Onagawacho
In March 2025, I embarked on a three-day experiential learning program that took place in Onagawacho, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. This small town, unknown to many even within Japan, was devastated during the tsunami caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, but has since become a shining example of sustainable urban development and disaster recovery. The program, run by traveling educational institution Satonova University, led us around Onagawacho to meet with community leaders and observe some of the town’s unique features.

Tokyo Girls Collection 2025: The Power of Entertainment
As a strong believer in the transformative power of entertainment, it was a true honor to take on an internship opportunity for Tokyo Girls Collection, one of the highest-profile fashion events worldwide that combines hyper-current style trends with live entertainment and performances by popular musical artists. Starting several months before the event, I was able to participate in strategic planning meetings alongside some of the most senior organizers. In my role as a youth consultant, I provided my perspective as a member of Gen Z to assist the planning team with youth advertising and outreach, giving insight into social media trends and other outlets that could be used to increase youth engagement.

In summer, 2025, I interned at Doggy's Island, a resort for dogs in Chiba, Japan. Through this experience I expanded my understanding of the hospitality industry and honed my service skills. I am deeply grateful to the staff at Doggy's Island for welcoming me into their work environment and allowing me to contribute directly to the experience for human and dog customers alike.

City Harvest is New York City’s first and largest food rescue organization. Their mission is to support NYC residents struggling with food insecurity by providing them with high-quality, fresh foods that would otherwise go to waste. For over 40 years, City Harvest has collected food from farms, grocery stores, restaurants, and wholesalers and delivered it to hundreds of food pantries, soup kitchens, and community programs. Beyond food rescue, City Harvest also provides nutrition education and partners with local organizations to strengthen the city’s food system. In short, City Harvest works to make nutritious food accessible, from The Bronx to Brooklyn, while reducing food waste.

With a strong passion for the beauty industry, I was thrilled to be welcomed by an exceptional creative team and given the opportunity to observe and support a full-scale professional photoshoot. Before stepping on set, I completed a comprehensive briefing that covered every stage of the production process—from developing the product concept and casting models to coordinating photographers and stylists, creating detailed shooting plans, and managing budgets and schedules. This preparation allowed me to contribute meaningfully and gain valuable insight into how a professional beauty campaign is brought to life.
